Open Houses

This past Saturday we held an open house at our listing located at 215 S Craig in Lombard. The weather was beautiful and it was quite successful. We had several people walk through. All comments were positive, which made it all worth while. Let's keep our fingers crossed to sell this beautiful home.

This Sunday November 15th we will be having another open house at our listing located at 1420 Root St. in Crest Hill. It will be from 12 - 4. Hopefully we will get a lot of traffic. Come check it out, it's an awesome townhome!

We have been working with a lot of buyers lately. Which is a really good sign that the market is picking up even more. The $8000.00 tax credit is quickly coming to a close. First time buyers basically have to close by November 30 to take advantage of this deal from the government. This program has kept this market exciting and continues to help others off the fence to feel confident in this real estate market again.

On the otherside of the coin we are going into winter with 12 listings. This will make for a very exciting Spring market. Believe it or not the Spring market starts the Sunday before the Superbowl. That is really encouraging for those of us who could do without Winter in general! Please check out our listings that are listed on the side bar of this blog. Spring Buzz

Busy cannot even describe how crazy the lives of Realtors in the spring truly is! Not that it is a bad thing and we are certainly not complaining.

Paul was named Rookie of the year and named most unit sales for an individual in the Koenig & Strey Wheaton office for 2008. His first full year was a sucess and we are both very thankful for everyone's support as he couldn't have done it without you!

We had a fabulous turn around on a listing. Paul, his Dad, Aunt, & Cousin worked extremely hard staging a new listing. They painted, replaced light fixtures, cleaned, & staged this house to get ready to put on the market. It was put on the market on a Friday at 4:30pm and was sold the following day by 1pm. This is something that happens only in the movies or about 3 years ago in Real Estate. Not only that, but then it closed in 3 weeks!

We sold our listing at 480 74th St. in Downers Grove. We just closed on it on the
19th. We sold a home in Darien, rented out a townhome in Aurora, sold a home in Plainfield, Downers Grove, & Lombard.

We have a new listing in Lombard at 516 S Martha St. in Lombard for $315,000. This home features 3 bedrooms, 2.1 baths, cozy fireplace, great yard, Huge Master bed and bath and way to many other updates to mention.

Spring is in the air!

We have a lot of positive news to share! Last weekend we sold 2 of our listings. One in Plainfield and one in Lombard. We are really excited to see that things are moving. This week we heard some exciting news on Mad Money which is a show on CNBC hosted by the one and only Jim Kramer. Like the guy or not he knows what he is talking about. Last year he predicted the housing market to hit rock bottom in the end of June 2009. This last week the fed has informed us that interest rates are going to reach historic lows of around 4%. Currently interest rates are just under 5% which is also low. So...that means that you can buy a home at historically low prices at historically low interest rates. The time is NOW! Everyone who has been on the fence about buying or needs to do a refi...this is the time to do it! Busy Days

Yesterday was a busy day for both of us. Jodee attended a closing for one of our buyers who bought a townhome in South Downers Grove. There were a few hang ups but the important thing is that we closed! We are so happy for her and wish her luck in her new home!

Paul put together all the info for our latest listing. It is a great deal in Evergreen Park for $185,000. The address is 8816 S Richmond St. It is a 3 bedroom 2 bath cape cod home with several additions. The house is in good condition with some need for some updates. Buyers Market or Sellers Market?

Interesting week in the exciting world of Real Estate. We have been working with 2 buyers. We put in offers on 2 separate places. The next Buyer put an offer in on a Foreclosure property. It was a beautiful home in Romeoville. 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths only a few years old and in great condition. Our buyer offered $1000 over list price and was paying cash and the offer was rejected. The next buyer was also looking for a Foreclosure and they put in an offer for $10,000 over list price and was also paying cash and their offer was also rejected. Now I ask you.... Is this a buyers market or a sellers market? This week the Sellers certainly had the upper hand. But of course, that can all change in the blink of an eye in this mysterious shifting market.
